Wawa Locations and Info

So after I found that Wawa locations map and I noticed that it was missing at least one Wawa I began working on my own list of Wawas. I pulled all the data from the Wawa store locator. For every store I have store number, lat and long, full address and phone, and gas and 24/7 yes or no. Before I dazzle you with Wawa stats a warning about the data. First off I pulled the data on July 13th, 2009 and have no intentions of ever updating it again. Secondly I have data on 539 stores, however the blog below says, "With over 600 locations, we have already visited roughly 556." However, they also say, "Some that we have already visited have since closed and a new bigger one has opened up across the street, so we go back." So there is a chance that they are counting every location that was a Wawa when they started, as well as new ones. While the Wawa site removes the old stores. Wikipedia says, "Total: 581 stores as of 12/2008."

Both Google Maps and the below map show stores I don't have, that aren't in the Wawa store locator. For example this one in VA.

Regardless my data is at least a good sample, so here it is:
Number of stores: 539
Number with gas: 245 (45.45%)
Number open 24/7: 488 (90.54%)
Number with "Web/Text Ordering": 6 (1.11%)

  1. So you didn't find all 581? What kind of half-assed attempt at gathering data is this?

  5. How long will it take for Wawa to spread nation wide? I think it is by far the best convince store out there.

  6. Wawa should have something like this on their site, but failing that, this is terrific! Thanks for your labours.

  7. Tampa Bay would be a great location....

Palm Coast Florida in which for the most part is young and has great real estate possibillities for WaWa would also be great. One East Coast and one West Coast Fl WaWa sounds like a great start.

Florida could use the jobs as well (Full service gas) included. ;)

  10. I live in FL. Visited NJ about a month ago. I talked to a Wawa employee and asked, when were they going to build a Wawa in FL? I said this jokingly. His response was talks to open the first Wawa would be in 2013. One can only hope.

    1. Thank you for checking out Citrus County Wawa... You got the first location right with the corner of 44 & 19, I nailed that location back when I wrote this, hope everything gets approved. Inverness has two maybe three nice locations I'm shocked you didn't go to that side of the county first. Offer still stands.
